Before founding Ikattan, Sellé Touré spent several years at the Grenoble Electrical Engineering Laboratory (G2Elab), within the SYREL team. His thesis, defended in 2014, focused on the optimisation of active and flexible networks — a subject at the heart of today's energy transition.

His research covered distribution network reconfiguration, voltage regulation through local flexibilities, and smart grid test bench design for network automation — work published notably in IEEE Transactions on Power Systems.

This scientific expertise, built alongside researchers such as Raphaël Caire (with whom Ikattan still collaborates today via Khadidja Tahir), gave birth to Ikadips™: transforming years of network modelling into a SaaS tool accessible to grid operators and RES project developers worldwide.
